Of Course Barbra Streisand Refused To Show Her Bad Side At A Charity Telethon

Mother Nature has been one cruel bitch sending hurricane after hurricane throughout the Caribbean and U.S. this year. Hollywood decided to fight back in the best way it knows: diva power!

Gays everywhere nearly self-combusted when a photo of Cher and Barbra Streisand working the phones together at the hurricane relief telethon Hand in Hand popped up on social media:

Everyone thought how wonderful it was that those two would take time off from instructing the latest batch of maids on the proper way to dust a Grammy and show up for a good cause, but Page Six notes good deeds don’t come without a rider. A source snitched over how Barbra apparently refused to let photographers grab a shot of her unless it was her “good” side:

“There were a ton of celebrities on the red carpet, but she wanted to walk the carpet in reverse order, so the cameras would only shoot her good side. It was as if she was a salmon swimming upstream.”

Ha! I don’t know why a hurricane relief telethon comes with a red carpet, but after 50 years in the biz, Barbra doesn’t have to walk in the same direction as morning television snots and movie stars. Babs has previously made Jimmy Fallon swap sides with her when she went on the Tonight Show, and I’m sure she even makes the roads in England swap when touring in London just so the Brits will never catch a glimpse of the right side of her face. The Hand in Hand organizers should just be grateful she didn’t ask to Vaseline the camera lense and scatter rose petals at her station to put her in the right frame to greet callers with a few numbers from Yentl. Instead, I’m sure she just looked over to Ariana Grande and said, “This is how it’s done, basic.
