Janet Jackson Is Trying To Get Full Custody Of Her Son

The Jackson family’s collection of lawyers might not want to plan any holidays in the next couple of months – er, you know what? Better make it years. Because Janet Jackson is currently on what could potentially be a terrible mess of a custody journey with her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana.

In January, Janet and Wissam became parents to a little boy named Eissa Al Mana. Three months later, Janet and Wissam called it quits. Sources claimed their marriage bit the dust because Wissam was “too controlling.” Didn’t Wissam know? Janet’s the one in control! Some people thought Janet timed things so that she could reach into Wissam’s deep billionaire pockets. Janet was reportedly going to get $200 million for sticking around five years and popping out Wissam’s kid. But – cue up the Andrea True – Janet wants more, more, more than money. She wants their kid.

Janet’s big brother Randy Jackson recently spoke with People about Janet’s divorce problems. According to Randy, Wissam wasn’t just controlling, but kind of a major asshole who kept her inside and treated her like crap:

“It was quite an abusive situation. It came on later in the relationship, verbal abuse and being [made to feel like] a prisoner in her own home. No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a bitch everyday. There were things like that. That’s what she went through.”

Randy – who lives in London – claims that at one point, he urged Janet to move in with him to get away from the “abusive situation” with Wissam.

A source tells Entertainment Tonight says that Janet is gunning for full custody of her 8-month-old son. That same source claims Randy went to the press and exposed Wissam allegedly shitty ways in an attempt to help Lil’ Janet win full custody in court. Damn, Randy – you’re playing with fire.

Wissam sort of responded to Randy’s allegations via a statement released by his attorneys to People, and it sounds like he doesn’t want to use the press to play dirty.

“Mr. Al Mana is not going to dignify these particular and deeply hurtful allegations with a response. The breakdown of his marriage to Janet Jackson is a cause of great sadness to Mr. Al Mana, and it is the wellbeing and privacy of their son, Eissa, that remains his sole focus.”

Lord, what a mess. And that’s saying something, since every mess in the Jackson family starts at no less than a 6.7 on the disaster scale. I just hope that if Janet is awarded full custody of Eissa that the judge also rules that any Jackson brother, sister, aunt, uncle, or cousin must also metaphorically stay at least 100 feet away from little Eissa’s personal life. 100% of Janet is fine, but it doesn’t need all the drama that comes with her.
