Carey Mulligan Had A Hush Hush Baby

Doe-eyed waif Carey Mulligan had a secret baby last month with her Mumford & Sons husband Marcus Mumford. It’s the couple’s second baby, they also have a 2-year old daughter named Evelyn Grace. True to form, Carey quietly appeared at TIFF (pics in the gallery below) and made nice nice with the public instead of being all sloppy and telling us about her reclaimed wine barrel birthing tub or whatever.

According to UsWeekly:

The Oscar nominee, 32, made her first public appearance since giving birth at a cast dinner for her new film Mudbound at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday, September 11. She covered up her post-baby body in a long, navy dress and a black Chanel belt.

People says that when Carey was asked about being a mom of two, she let out a, “It’s good, thank you!

I’m really questioning that exclamation point at the end there. I don’t think Carey is able to speak above a respectful whisper. Her delicate vocal cords can’t summon anything louder than the plucking of a single harp string.

Carey and Marcus still haven’t officially “announced” that baby number two exists, however the couple’s quiet procreation has been speculated about over the past few months. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Carey actually had a litter of kittens, she seems the type.

Are you noticing a pattern? Carey is so dang low-key that the only thing anybody can think to talk about is her snoozefest of a wardrobe. It’s actually kind of a breath of fresh air. Carey stays mum about her personal life and I can go right on ahead and fill in the gaps in my mind with images of her whole brood lounging in the giant family bed that sits in the living room, like the Buckets in Willy Wonka, in their house that’s a converted barn listening bluegrass and scooping up wooden spoonfuls of unpasteurized yogurt and feeding it to each other, careful not to spill any on the museum quality quilt.
