Sharon Osbourne Is Backpedaling On That Whole “Kim Is A Ho” Thing
So remember last week when Sharon Osbourne channeled her inner Paris and Nicole and called Kim Kardashian a ho? And how she implied that taking off your clothes and ho-ing it up on Instagram isn’t feminism? Well, someone must have woken up with a severed head of salad lettuce in their bed, because UsWeekly says that Sharon has recently attempted to erase some of those words she said about Kim.
Sharon tried to explain herself during an episode of The Talk yesterday, saying that she was misquoted. Sharon, don’t you mean miskwoted?
“It’s so ridiculous how these things happen…I was doing this interview, and (the reporter) said to me ‘Have you heard that Kim Kardashian has come out as a feminist?’…and of course I commented. She asked my opinion and I gave it. It wasn’t rude, it wasn’t…whatever (Kim) does, it’s showing her body. Which shows that she’s a strong, grounded woman, and she’s not ashamed of her body.
She wants to show it, which is her business…people have been doing that since day one…it doesn’t make you a feminist. It got misquoted, when it came out, my response, and Kim came back and said ‘I never said I was a feminist.’ You’re responding to something I never said.”
Kim’s response was given after Sharon’s interview, in which Kim told E! News that she doesn’t post tasteful Photoshopped nudes to social media because she’s a feminist. Kim said it’s because she’s proud of her body, which translated from Kardashianese to English means she does it for the attention.
So what I’m getting from Sharon’s clarification is that no, she doesn’t think Kim is a feminist. But she does think Kim is a strong, grounded woman who isn’t ashamed of her body. She also managed to get in what I choose to believe was a subtle jab with that “whatever Kim does” comment. I wonder if that was a stipulation in the apology agreement Kris Jenner sent over to Sharon’s house. “You’ll get an extra $50 if you can keep the comments about how useless Kim is to a minimum.”
But of course posting ho pics doesn’t mean you’re a high mileage ho. In Kim’s case, part of it probably really is because she’s proud of the way her body looks. Sharon of all people should know that. Hell, I’d be bragging too if I had a doctor that did such lifelike work.
