Angelina Jolie Brought All The Kids Out For Her TIFF Premiere
Ah, they’re all there. Vivienne, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Knox, Zahara, Greg, Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby, Cindy, and Alice. The whole gang!
That picture is a bit like a “Spot What’s Wrong” puzzle, since there definitely appears to be more members of the child army than usual. No, Angelina Jolie hasn’t adopted any new kids; those are some of the stars of her film First They Killed My Father (aka The PR Disaster Artist). Angelina and her crew all showed up for the premiere of FTKMF at the Toronto International Film Festival yesterday. Angelina brought four of her six kids to the premiere of The Breadwinner the day before, but that was just a movie she produced. FTKMF is a film by Angelina Jolie. You know, the award-winning director of Unbroken? Sorry, Brad, but this is the kind of big deal film premiere that requires the participation of all members of the child army.
Angelina is a cool mom who probably only owns one parenting “book” (it’s just a stack of Google maps prints-outs of toy stores and hot dog vendors across the greater Los Angeles area), so she let the child army wear whatever they wanted. Some wore fancy little suits from La Petite Millionaire, some wore casual shirts and track pants. Just once I wish Angelina would channel her inner Maria von Trapp and show up to a red carpet event with the kids in coordinating ensembles. Bonus points if she attempts to sew them all herself!
But there’s probably a reason they don’t. Like that Angelina can’t sew. Also because she’s allergic to color, and dressing that many kids in head-to-toe black might look slightly morbid. Like, let kids be kids, right? They’ll have enough time to dress in mistake-looking goth bedsheet couture when they’re grown.
Angelina also talked about her kids at the premiere, telling E! News that she would love it if her kids followed in mom’s footsteps and got into show business.
“I might dream. If I am to continue to be in this business, I’d love to work with my children if they choose to be in this business.”
You know she wanted to add: “Who knows? Maybe they can get into screenwriting and write me something better to star in than a goddamn Disney sequel.”
Here’s more of Angelina and the rest of the family at the premiere of First They Killed My Father yesterday, as well as Angelina with FTKMF author Loung Ung and Cambodian filmmaker Rithy Panh.
