Santino Rice Is Going On A 111-Day Fast

Say so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye to those buff bald daddy muscles, because they’re going away for a while.

If you’ve wondered what Santino Rice has been up to since Ru filled his seat with the butts belonging to Ross Matthews and Carson Kressley, well, he’s a hardcore health person. A quick peek at his Instagram shows a dude who is really into organic raw food and self-health. The breakout star of Project Runway and former judge of RuPaul’s Drag Race proved just how dedicated he is to living that crazy health life by announcing on Twitter two days ago that he would be fasting for 111 days. Damn, I sincerely wish him the best of luck with that; I can barely go 111 minutes without shoving a handful of Wheat Thins into my mouth.

Gwyneth Paltrow is probably like “Oh honey, juice and water? That’s cute. Get back to me when you do a six-month detox consisting of inhaling only organic air molecules.”

So a long, restrictive fast isn’t that far out of left-field for Santino. However, a diet rich in three-and-a-half months worth of celery water and lemon sweat doesn’t sound like the sort of thing that would be fun for your stomach. So of course some people on the internet are side-eyeing that. People says several nutritionists and doctors advise talking to a professional before going on a major detox. One nutritionist previously recommended the inclusion of salads and veggies to eat. A doctor previously told them that short-term detoxes seem fine, but more studies are needed. Santino subtly slapped back at anyone doubting his diet judgement.

I just hope Santino applied for a temporary legal name change before he started his fast. The last thing he needs is to challenge his willpower with something as simple as being asked to fill out a form. “First name, Santino. Last name, Rice. Mmmmm, rice. I could go for a big bowl of rice. Or small. Hell, I’d eat a picture of rice. Help me, I’m starving.
