Amber Rose Is Still Apologizing For Her Philly Comments
I remember the first time I saw Amber Rose shaking her couch cushion sized ass in videos back in the day, thinking to myself, “She’s cute, but I hope she never opens her mouth.” For years Amber has been the patron saint of “Shut The Fuck Up.” But last week, South Philly’s finest former lap dance associate decided it was time to make every Philadelphian hate her, when she basically stated that all Philly hoes look like Shrek compared to her. Oh Amber. You silly, bald headed fool. You should have known better than to come for Philly, because when you do, we will chop you up finer than a Dallesandro’s cheesesteak. The backlash she received from her comments prompted a third leg of her endless “I Need More Attention” tour, with Amber apologizing once again.
Before we get there though, let’s start at the beginning. Last week during a trip to N.O.R.E.‘s (formally known as Noreaga) podcast Drink Champs, Bossip reported that Amber decided she never wants to come back to Philly (like, ever again) by stating that she grew up in an area where people weren’t “traditionally attractive,” and that her beauty was her ticket to leave all the ugly people behind (so she could go pop her ass for checks and be surgically enhanced, but whatever).
Well Philly has, of course, decided to refund Amber’s price of admission and now has armed guards waiting at all the exits on I-95 wishing a bitch would try to come back in! Many took to Twitter and Instagram to post before and after pics of Amber like this one:
Even though Amber has since apologized for her thoughtless remarks, she’s squeezing the last 30 seconds of her fifteen minutes like juice from a stale orange, she’s ready to say more things on the matter.
Bossip now reports that Amber has now taken to her own podcast Loveline to dish exclusive, in depth details on a story most people have already moved on from (except me because I’m still pissed! Then again I’m from Philly so I’m always pissed). According to Amb however, the entire thing got misconstrued. Muva said on her podcast that she’s likening her “Drink Champs” comments to that lengthy Kodak Black post where she said she was envious of darker skinned women’s skin tone.
“What I was saying was like in the Kodak Black post that I did on Instagram. I was saying how I felt all the girls were more beautiful than me, I wanted to be like them. People definitely treated me different because I had European features or what society thinks is more beautiful but it’s not what I traditionally think is more beautiful. […] It really makes me sad because I don’t feel that way.”
She said her words were “edited” and “twisted,” but thankful for the support of some people.
“It’s just unfortunate. It really makes me sad, because I don’t feel that way. And I looked at the comments. I see that there’s people that are like ‘I actually watched the whole interview. So I understand what you were saying’
She also had words for Philly radio stations:
“The f****d up thing is that in my own hometown, which is f**** up because even when I go home to Philly I listen to the radio stations, and then I listen to the radio and it’s like ‘this f**** b**** Amber Rose, nobody likes her.’ I remember when I first went back and I was listening and they literally had callers call in to the radio station in Philly to talk s*** about me.”
Bye, Amber. This all sounds like a whole bunch of “See, what had happened was…” damage control to me. And honestly, why does anyone care what Amber thinks about Philly anyway? She better keep a low profile from now on before her drag inspiration Susan Powter appears outta nowhere to smack the shit outta her and scream “STOP THE INSTANITY!!”
