Hot Slut Of The Day!

Joey Barge, the man who put on a business casual dress to fight the oppressive dress code at his job!

Earlier this week in England, a heatwave made the people feel like they were trapped in a hot, wet fart bubble. Temperatures hit the low-90s. The low-90s is practically wintertime weather to those of us in the West of the U.S., but it’s nipple-singeing weather over there. So 20-year-old Joey Barge from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire felt like it was too damn hot to wear pants to work, so he put on business shorts, thinking that maybe his boss at his call center job would be okay with it since women can wear skirts to work. Fran Lebowitz must be Director of Dress Code at Joey’s workplace, because dude was sent home to change.

Joey’s protest to free his legs of the heat-trapping fabric cocoon that bound them started with this tweet.

Joey’s job atmosphere must be very different than the offices I’ve worked at. Even in the summer, I would have to wear long johns, wool pants, a pashmina and a parka to work, because the AC was usually set to Frostbitten Pimple On The Abominable Snowman’s Taint. But not Joey’s office. After his bare legs were sent home, he came up with an idea to fight for equality (when it comes to freeing his legs, anyway) in his workplace. Joey tweeted what he changed into. That t-shirt dress is so something Sally from Peanuts would wear to work on a casual Friday.

To prove that he actually wore his protest dress to work, Joey tweeted another picture of him in the office.

Joey’s protest worked. Management sent out an e-mail saying that men could wear boring-colored shorts that aren’t nut huggers.

I’m with Joey in thinking that this isn’t a total win. Sure, he can wear REALLY LONG shorts to work now, and that’s what he wanted… But after feeling a gust of AC hit my thighs under that dress, I’d say “fuck shorts” and would want to wear a dress instead. So I say, keep fighting the man, Joey, and show up in another Peanuts dress! A beige and black Peanuts dress, of course.
