Katy Perry Apologized To Her Arch-Nemesis Taylor Swift
Pop malcontents Katy Perry and Taylor Swift seem to have been feudin’ now for slightly less time than the Hundred Years’ War. It all started as some sort of fight over backup dancers. Backup dancers. Not even backup singers. Two grown women fighting over background ass shakers. *eye roll*
The most recent stirring of the bitchcraft cauldron was when Tay Tay put her entire back catalog on streaming services on the very same day that Katycat’s new album, Witness, dropped. Sick burn! Swish, swish, bish indeed! Well, it looks like Swifty might have won the battle AND the war, because Katy publicly apologized to her arch-rival in an interview with Ariana Huffington yesterday, according to The Daily Mail.
During a Witness-promoting livestream, Katy made it seem like she got some sort of grand epiphany while in the makeup chair. Either that, or someone told her this bullshit feud was starting to irritate everyone and might affect album sales. Pop Crave posted the video on their Twitter:
Katy Perry on Taylor Swift: “I forgive her, and I’m sorry for anything I did. I love her & I want the best for her.” pic.twitter.com/KSRHO9TtC0

How magnanimous of her. Katy really laid it on thick with the admiration and reconciliation attempts.
“I think it’s time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world. You know what I’m saying? And I love her, and I want the best for her. And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter.”
Didn’t you just call her “bish” and made a really poor comparison between her and an expired coupon in your latest single, Swish Swish? And referenced her impending death? Is this the remix?
Katy also wished Taylor well on her “journey.” Oh, brother.
“There’s a lot of other things out there in the world that people need to be focused on, and I truly, like, God bless her on her journey. God bless her. Honestly.”
“I don’t know. Like maybe I don’t agree with everything she does and she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but I just really truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion.”
Maybe Katy’s being sincere, or maybe the subtle viciousness of Taylor upstaging her album dropping alarmed her. If they kept it escalating, we could have eventually witnessed a red carpet gang war between the Serpent Squad and the KatyCats. Someone could be hurt! Or another, more important celebrity could be inconvenienced. If this IS the end of their feud, we can now look forward to focusing on far more important things. You know, like Amber Rose’s downstairs grooming sitch and Amanda Bynes’ re-emergence into society, and stuff like that.
