Demi Lovato Might Have Shit On Kathy Griffin

No, it wasn’t in some sort of mishap on a Ryan Seacrest-produced reality television show about celebrity colonics. Tearful comedienne Kathy Griffin and singer and huge Aslan stan Demi Lovato are enemies of old. They exchanged hisses and scratches on Twitter back in 2014. What a perfect time to allegedly renew their feud (and get those clicks), what with Kathy having pariah-ed herself out of a career this week!

Kathy’s podium of tears performance from yesterday is already infamous, and it looks like Demi possibly had a thought about it, via People.

She followed that up with:

This all began eons ago (March 25, 2014) when someone on Twitter asked Kathy to choose to whom she’d award “biggest douche celebrity?

Debbie Lovato” is my new drag name, and Kathy deserves all the accolades for that one. But – bish started it! Kathy’s schtick is dragging other celebrities, but Demi and her “Lovatics” obviously weren’t in on the joke. Kathy later related to Ryan Seacrest (which is funny because hasn’t he been the subject of several of her routines?) how she received death threats from “Debbie’s” minions, according to Seventeen:

Kathy said she was then bullied by Lovatics, Demi’s massive fan base. She received death threats so violent that Ryan couldn’t even read them on his show. The LAPD even had to get involved.

Faux-lesbian ditties like “Cool For The Summer” inspire strong emotions in the kids! Kathy obviously didn’t take the Lovatics seriously because she went in on “Debbie” again after watching her performance at the VMAs that year.

They went back and forth a few more times, and it ended with Kathy asking Demi to ask her fans to stop bullying her. I feel like my age 10 self when I exclaim “but she started it!

Kathy needs to learn two things. One, not everyone has a sense of humor. Two, holding a fake decapitated and bloody head of the President of the United Sates aloft in a photo is NEVER a good idea. (She’s probably good on the second one, now.)
