Emmy Rossum Got Married

Another famous brunette got married over the long weekend, and much like Miranda Kerr’s wedding, this one also involves a dude who knows a lot about technology and watching people through iPhone cameras and…uh…I’m sorry, I’ve never seen Mr. Robot and I don’t use Snapchat.

People magazine says 30-year-old Emmy Rossum got hitched to 39-year-old Sam Esmail, he created Mr. Robot, yesterday in NYC. I will always see Emmy as Christine from The Phantom of the Opera, so I half expected to see pictures of her saying “I do” in 30lbs of musty lace, but Vogue says she kept it simple in Carolina Herrera.

Emmy and Sam started dating after he directed her in the 2014 film Comet. Sam is Emmy’s second husband (she was secret-married to music executive Justin Siegel from 2008 to 2010). This is Sam’s first marriage. Emmy was recently robbed of a bunch of expensive old jewelry after leaving the code to her safe out. I really hope she got her home security situation all sorted out before she brought her wedding gifts home. You know there’s a robber out there who is drooling over the possibility of scoring three to six fancy toasters.

As for their wedding, People says lots of famous types were in attendance, like William H. Macy, Robert Downey Jr., and Mr. Robot cast members Christian Slater, Rami Malek, and Charly Chaikin. Rami Malek, Christian Slater, and William H. Macy? I hope Emmy and Sam provided fans for their guests who are prone to the vapors.
