Ruby Rose Went Off On Katy Perry’s Latest Song (Which Is Probably About Taylor Swift)
While promoting her upcoming album Witness earlier this month, Katy Perry strongly implied there would be no bitchy follow-up to Taylor Swift’s Katy Perry-hating song Bad Blood. It was almost as if Katy had matured out of their tired middle school fight. Hahahaha, how silly and naive we all were! But of course Katy still wants to scratch at Taylor.
Katy released a new song Swish Swish ft. one-time Taylor Swift nemesis Nicki Minaj, and it’s no coincidence that the title is two letters off from Swift Swift. It definitely sounds like it’s about Taylor Swift.
Katy sings about a “calculated” bish who won’t stop talking about her. Taylor has said in the past how much she really, really hates the word “calculating“, so even if this song isn’t about her (which it is), she’s probably shedding a tiny tear of solidarity for whoever it’s about. Of course, that’s on the 0.000001% chance this song isn’t about her. Take a listen and judge for yourself. As for the song itself, it sounds like a Britney Spears b-side mixed with a 90s house beat.
The Nicki Minaj part, where she sings about silly rap beefs, is either about her silly rap beef with Remy Ma or any one of the thousands of other people Nicki is beefing with at any given time.
There is one person who is absolutely sure Swish Swish is a mean girl clap-back at Taylor Swift, and that’s Taylor Swift squad member Ruby Rose. Not long after Katy Perry released Swish Swish, Ruby hopped on Twitter and dragged Katy by her 1″ bleached tips.
"Purposeful poop" to "bomb a petit" to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda..stop trying to make 'Wit..I mean "fetch" happen.

I just think with everything going on in the world to go from rebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low.. is.. a bummer.

@ROMANZOLANZSKI Not gonna lie Nicki is great on it and basically the only part that doesn't sound a mess

I've always stood up for the people I love and against things I think are cheap or mean spirited. That's not new. You have to follow your ❤️

Right after Ruby claimed to stand up against songs that tear other women down, a person on Twitter asked where she was when Dear Leader was taking cheap shots at an enemy in Bad Blood. Ruby was…uh…busy that day, or something. But also because she’s been bullied by a certain someone and wanted the justice only a certain singing skinny blonde could bring.
@jamescochranee Wasn't around sweetheart but my bully experiences came from one of the people involved in that song and it's obviously not T.

Ruby then tweeted praise and love for fellow squad member musicians like Selena Gomez, Lorde, and Haim. Ruby really is making everyone else in the squad look bad. That’s bound to get awkward at the next meeting when Taylor gives them shit for not responding as fast as Ruby. “Where were you all?!? And don’t give me the excuse your phones were dead or Twitter was down. You could have hired a sky writer or bought billboard space. Honestly, I doubt all your loyalty.”
