Open Post: Hosted By Jessica Chastain Rolling Her Eyes At Johnny Depp’s Earpiece Acting

May 10, 2017 / Posted by:

The ex-money managers that Johnny Depp is currently in a legal fight with have accused him in court papers of being so damn lazy that he can’t be bothered to memorize his lines and has them fed to him through an earpiece. That mess was brought up by a BBC News reporter who was talking to Jessica Chastain about her movie Miss Sloane. Jessica’s eyes immediately rolled back, and at first I thought that she was rolling her eyes at a reporter asking her about that. But her answer made me believe that her eyes were busting out an “Oh, please” over Johnny refusing to memorize the line “arrr” while getting paid millions to shoot another Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Johnny’s character only says “arr” over and over again, right? I’ve never seen that shit.

After Jessica’s eyes rolled, she giggled and shook her head for a second before saying this:

“No, I guess my technique is working hard. So on the weekends before I go into my work week I memorize. I will spend my entire day working on the script and the scenes that I have coming ahead.”

Johnny isn’t going to throw an eye roll back at Jessica and only because he’s probably really confused by what she said. What is “working on the script”? Johnny just waits in his trailer for a handler to pick him up, carry him to set and drop him on his mark. After he snarls out the line (which is usually: arrr arrr arrr) that’s fed to him, his handler picks him up again and carries him back to his trailer.

It’s the week of rolling eyes! First Anderson Cooper and now Jessica Chastain. Let them inspire you to roll your eyes at a motherfucker who deserves it today. I already did that by rolling my eyes at myself after catching a glimpse in the mirror of me wearing a cardigan with no shirt underneath. I was a Depp-level of lazy and didn’t want to pull a t-shirt over my head, okay? That’s hard labor.

Here’s today’s ginger eye rolling hero outside of BBC studios in London.
