Nicki Minaj Covered The College Expenses For Many Of Her Fans

Nicki Minaj got a little attention on social media this weekend, and for the first time in a long time, it wasn’t for scratching at a foe. It was actually for a really good reason. If karma is real, then Nicki Minaj just maxed out her monthly limit like Tori Spelling with a new AmEx card.

Billboard says that this all happened after Nicki tweeted about a contest on Saturday. The winner would get to hang out with Nicki at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas in a couple of weekends. Some of Nicki’s fans have vultures circling around their bank accounts, and unless they get a hot hand at a blackjack table, a trip to Las Vegas isn’t something that will fix that. So one fan asked Nicki to pay for their tuition instead.

After that Nicki decided to launch a new contest and agreed to pay student loans bills for straight-A students. Around midnight on Saturday, Nicki began responding to fans who needed a variety of costs covered, like summer classes, books, and student loans. Nicki’s generosity ranged from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. All Nicki asked was that they provide proof of their loans and bills. Eventually Nicki had to close the Bank of Generous Bitches. No word on if the money made it into her fans’ hands, but since there hasn’t been an angry uprising on Twitter today, I’ll assume Nicki made good on her promise.

As anyone who went to college knows, college costs are no joke. So Nicki did a nice by throwing her fans a couple bucks. And I know Nicki wants to keep it legit by paying for tuition and books and shit for students working their asses off for those As, but it might be nice for her to toss some coins at the B and C students too. Hell, even her fans on academic probation would probably appreciate a couple bucks. I know I’d love a bus ticket and some get-drunk money if I was about to get kicked out of school.
