Chrissy Metz Doesn’t Care If You Didn’t Like Her Latex Ensemble At The MTV Movie Awards

The MTV Movie & TV Awards are really one of the awards shows in which one can wear whatever one wants. Milo Ventimiglia, for example, put on his best “70s divorced dad trolling the singles bars” look. And Chrissy Metz from This Is Us decided she wanted to wear a latex ensemble while presenting the Best Duo award with her TV dad.

People magazine says Chrissy got some hate for her dress and there’s many reasons for why people could’ve been hating on her. Maybe some high school health teachers were upset that Chrissy was wasting latex that could have been used for condoms. Maybe it was Khloe Kardashian using a variety of troll accounts to slap at Chrissy for stepping on her family’s turf. Well, Chrissy addressed it, and it sounds like the majority of hate was about her body.

Chrissy Metz used to be broke. Now she’s making that NBC money and can spend it on whatever she wants. And if what she wants is a dress that looks like it was made in the Fruit Roll-Ups factory, then so be it. In fact, I commend Chrissy for wearing such a dress. All the kids from Stranger Things went to the MTV Movie & TV Awards. I bet more than once Chrissy turned around to see them staring at her dress with hungry eyes and plotting who would distract her while the rest ripped a chunk off her sleeve.
