Okay, But For Why Is She Wearing A Snuggie?

Ian Somerhalder and his wife of two years Nikki Reed both announced on their own Instagrams today that she’s pregnant with a baby that will probably be born with a permanent 5 o’clock shadow like their dad. Both Ian and Nikki posted that picture of him smelling her baby dome area while she works some kind of LDS birthing gown. Or maybe that’s what Nikki ended up with when she tried to recreate Jennifer Lopez’s Met Gala dress using old hospital gowns.

The baby growing in Nikki’s body has been there for a little while and Ian said on Instagram that they wanted to keep the news to themselves for a bit.

To our friends, family, and rest of the world. In my 38 years on this earth I’ve never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this. I can’t think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first. This has been the most special time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our little one who is growing so fast…because that’s what they do, they grow so fast. Thank you for your kind energy.
Love,
Ian

This baby will be Ian and Nikki’s second. Together, they adopted a horse child they named Eagle.

Everything I know about “baby bump” areas I learned from Pregnant Midge, so I’m practically an expert, and in my professional opinion it doesn’t look like Nikki is going to give birth this month. That’s a good thing, because that baby would start life on a really, really awkward note if they were born on May 28. There are certain holiday dates that are embedded into our brain. We know that Christmas is on December 25th, New Year’s Day is on January 1, National Ass Sex Day is on April 18 and International Ian Somerhalder Day is on May 28. If that kid was born on May 28, Nikki would birth ’em out by herself and hold her baby while saying, “Oh, Ian Jr., you’ll meet daddy tomorrow since today is International Ian Somerhalder Day and it’s HIS day.
