The Time 100 Gala, In Association With Frederick’s Of Hollywood

Actually, that’s not true. Time magazine seems a bit too stuffy and uptight to partner with such a sexy retailer. But that didn’t stop model Ashley Graham from slinking onto the red carpet of the annual Time 100 Gala in New York City last night in a silk nightie and robe combo. Oh, and a corset belt and jeweled choker, because Ashley clearly knows the difference between a proper formal lingerie look and looking like you just woke up from an afternoon catnap in your sugar daddy’s mansion.

Unfortunately Ashley almost had an Amy Schumer moment and took a tumble on the red carpet when her foot got caught on her robe. I hear you laughing, Cheryl Tiegs.

That’s why you practice walking in your outfit beforehand. Ashley, remember for next time: you’re not ready to take it public until you’ve spent at least two hours strutting back and forth in your robe like Blanche in the opening credits of The Golden Girls.

It’s really too bad Ashley didn’t walk the red carpet near Blake Lively. Blake’s parlour curtain ensemble by Marchesa would have been perfect for Ashley to disappear behind while inviting everyone to come up and see her sometime.

Margot Robbie was also there in a Prada dress inspired by the floor of a pharmacy after the busy Saturday senior citizen rush. I don’t know why Margot is making that face. But my guess is she just realized that she’s about to spend the whole night being approached by people whispering: “Will you do $100 for three blues and a pink?

I’m not sure what look Demi Lovato was going for. We’ve got a lace cape, some sheer bridesmaid dress bottoms, the most popular belt from the office wear section of a 1986 Sears catalogue, and a whole lot of body shimmer. Actually, Demi looks like the first wife of Ashley Graham’s imaginary sugar daddy. I can practically picture Demi whipping her TeaMi tumbler across the room when she hears that Ashley was given the title to the boat.

Here’s more from last night’s Time 100 Gala.
