Aaron Carter Explains Why He’s Been Looking Skinnier

Two weekends ago, Aaron Carter performed a sold-out (the 13-year-old in me assumes) show at the pool area of the Flamingo in Las Vegas. He looked a little worse for wear, something that was only magnified by all that acid washed NO. We’re used to seeing Aaron look rough, but it was his body that was making some people adjust their glasses and wonder out loud why he looked a little less buff than he has in the past. Aaron took to Twitter yesterday and explained why his body looks the way it does. According to Aaron, he’s “basically” got an “eating disorder” in the form of a hiatal hernia.

I’m only familiar with the type of hernias you can pop in your lower gut by not lifting with your legs, so I had to ask Michael K what a hiatal hernia is. From what I could understand, it’s a hernia that hangs around the top of your stomach, and sometimes when you eat certain foods your body feels about as pleasant as listening to Crazy Little Party Girl on repeat. Wikipedia says that one of the things that can make a hiatal hernia better is weight loss, which could explain Aaron’s situation.

It’s really too bad that Aaron’s body has a difficult hernia inside it for many reasons (food being delicious, etc). But it’s made even worse by the fact that all this happened after a trip to Las Vegas. One of the best parts of Vegas is eating a shameful amount of garbage food. That would have come in real handy for Aaron Carter. If I had just performed for a handful of people at a pool, the first thing I’d do is haul ass to the nearest $9.99 buffet and eat until I started to forget what my life was.
