Ashton Kutcher Sort Of Talked The Rumors That He Cheated
Ashton Kutcher was given the Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award from Drake University, and UsWeekly says the award is given to individuals “who demonstrate good character as a role model.” Apparently Drake University thought that was Ashton Kutcher.
During Ashton’s 16-minute long acceptance speech, he joked that he was probably the first person to receive the award who broke into his high school at 18 and had been pulled over by a state trooper while high on mushrooms. He also talked about how his wife Mila Kunis kicks character into his ass and that his two kids, 2-year-old Wyatt and 4-month Dimitri, have been his greatest lesson in character in his life. Ashton was also self-aware enough to admit that there was a time when his character wasn’t so much a pillar, but a grease-covered stump.
When Ashton and Demi Moore announced they were getting divorced almost six years ago, there were rumors that it ended because of his love of side pieces. Ashton addressed that in his acceptance speech.
“I’m also probably the first person to get this award for character who had his name splashed across every gossip magazine as an adulterer like five years ago.”
He also explained that getting that divorce helped to shape his award-winning character.
“I had the great fortune of getting a divorce because I felt the impact of it and I felt how much loss is in there and how much love is in there and that it’s not neat or clean or messy. And I understood, finally, my parents’ divorce in a whole different way.”
Ashton didn’t come right out an admit that he used to spend his free time trolling for randoms. I sort of wish he did. And then I wish he had gone a little deeper into what kind of character he had while he was hitting on them. Basically what I’m saying is that I wonder if he ever told them his Von Dutch trucker hat would look better on their bedroom floor or not.
