The Rock And Vin Diesel Made Up, According To Vin Diesel

A lot of puffy pecs were reportedly in an uproar on the set of (I can barely type the awful name of this movie) The Fate Of The Furious last summer. The Rock vague-Instagrammed about someone being Public Asshole #1 on the set, and it was fairly obvious he was referencing fellow balding diva, Vin Diesel. Vin shot back by promising he would spill the tea on their roidy catfighting. That never really happened, but it doesn’t matter now, because it appears that both of them are past it.

At least that’s what I think Vin told USA Today. There was a lot of Vin Diesel quotes boasting about how amazing Vin Diesel is to sift through first. Sit down, Vin. Your last big role was as an animated tree with a gun and you only had one line.

“I don’t think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way,” says Diesel, who steered clear of the specifics of their disagreement. “I think some things may be blown out of proportion. I don’t think that was his intention. I know he appreciates how much I work this franchise. In my house, he’s Uncle Dwayne.”

That was nice and stuff, but then Vin let a little “I’m the top to his bottom and he better keep those heels in the air” creep into his thoughts.

“I protect the franchise. I protect everybody including Dwayne. I protected Dwayne more than he’ll ever know. And it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t have to know. But he appreciates it. He knows it,” says Diesel. “Dwayne has only got one Vin in his life. Dwayne Johnson only has one big brother in this film world and that’s me.”

Vin then went on to credit himself with being “the first multicultural megastar” in show biz and boasted about how he paved the way for lil’ Rock to try and be one, too. This whole interview was just a big shady pat on The Rock’s head.

I’m always rooting for Dwayne. I’m the first multicultural megastar in Hollywood. They didn’t exist,” says Diesel. “To see another multicultural star come up is something I am very proud of. I’m always rooting Dwayne on.”

And speaking of tops and bottoms…

“It’s not always easy being an alpha. And it’s two alphas,” says Vin Diesel. “Being an alpha is sometimes a pain in the (butt).”

Why do I get the feeling that, when Vin works out, he crotch-thrusts with every curl, press and rep and imagines Dwayne’s bent over in front of him? Either that or Vin Diesel is imagining Vin Diesel bent over in front of him.

Check out more pics of Vin, along with Nathalie Emmanuel, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris at the NYC premiere of The Fate of the Furious at Radio City Music Hall last night. (They might have made up, but The Rock ain’t there!)
