Star Magazine Thinks Scarlett Johansson Is Getting With Chris Evans

This is news that will either make you reach for several grains of the salt of your choice or scream with delight that two of the Avengers might be doing it. According to Star (via Hollywood Life), Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans are fixing to get together.

A source claims that Scarlett and Chris both asked to be seated next to each other at the Oscars on February 26. Apparently they did a lot more than just sit together. The source claims Chris kept whispering in her ear and that Scarlett was blushing. Oh my goodness, verbal canoodling?!? How scandalous. Scarlett and Chris have been friends for about 10 years, and it has all come down to a matter of timing. It was announced back in January that Scarlett had called it quits with her husband Romain Dauriac. About a month later, Chris broke up with his girlfriend of a year Jenny Slate. The source adds that a lot of people suspect they might soon become “an item.”

Of course, a love between Black Widow and Captain America might still live only in fanfic right now. An insider tells E! News that ScarJo is too busy dealing with her messy divorce to be thinking about dating anyone.

“Scarlett just got separated from Romain and is still dealing with the fact that now she’s had two failed serious relationships. She’s not trying to rush into anything and is just chilling.”

My only advice for them would be that if they do decide to go from chilling to…whatever the more serious upgrade from chilling is, that they wait until after the release of Avengers: Infinity War in 2018. Otherwise, they better brace themselves for some extreme corniness during the press tour. I’m sure there’s only so many times you can take a reporter asking if they would describe their relationship as “super” before one of them snaps.
