SNL Made America Feel Better By Going In On The Trumps Again

It was devastating news this week when Alec Baldwin revealed that he’s put an expiration date on his masterful mockery of… that guy. But, but, he’s so good at it. He captures almost every odious component of…that guy’s…character! They better get someone just as good to carry on. Someone who’s played the part before. Someone that annoys Twitler just as much as Alec does. Hmm.

In the meantime, Alec popped up on Saturday Night Live’s cold open last night, parodying POTUS in an Independence Day take-off. Considering our leadership, the denizens of Zorblatt 9 would appear to have this conquering of nations deal on lock.

Besides cable news, SNL is president Donald Trump’s favorite source for verifying to himself that he’s completely awful. So, any opportunity to irritate the wig off him is welcome and blessed. In other fun, host Scarlett Johansson played POTUS’ dutiful daughter Ivanka Trump in a perfume ad parody. “Complicit” – a scent for the bile-swallowing, secretly ashamed, creepily admired by daddy, white woman in all of us.

Ivanka and her hubby were supposedly responsible for heading off Trump’s enaction of that homophobic religious freedom” executive order. Thanks, I guess? Then again, it was probably a move to ensure that she’d have the proper homosexual talent handling her hair and makeup for various events and functions. So, thanks but no thanks, Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS.
