Remy Ma Insulted Nicki Minaj For 7 Minutes, And Nicki Responded
So, I just took seven minutes of my life to listen to self-styled “queen of rap” and Love & Hip-Hop: New York star Remy Ma’s new Nicki Minaj diss track. Um, I don’t think she likes her? “ShETHER” uses the same instrumental as Nas’ diss track about Jay Z, from 2001’s “Ether.” Complex reports that it’s probably in response to Nicki’s verse on the new Gucci Mane song, “Make Love.”
Here’s what seems to have irritated Ms. Ma:
“You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap/You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques.”
Here’s just a taste of Remy’s response. (This is basically the rap battle equivalent of a pillow fight in which Nicki’s pillow was filled with hypo-allergenic down and Remy eschewed the pillow and picked up a cinder block.)

Ms. Ma would seem to be as obsessed with Nicki’s ass as Nicki is. I’m sure these verses were written on elegant stationary with a feather pen and scented in lavender. Oh, there’s more. Remy mentions a conversation she allegedly had with Nicki’s ex, Meek Mills.
“And I saw Meek at All-Star, he told me your ass dropped
He couldn’t fuck you for three months because your ass dropped
Now I don’t think y’all understand how bad her ass got
The implants that she had put in her ass popped”
Remy goes on to claim that Nicki has sexual relations with other rappers so they’ll ghost-write her songs, and that she has footage of Nicki hoovering up cocaineya. She also brings up her disgust over what she perceives as Nicki’s support for her older brother, who is about to go on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. In addition to the basket of blueberry muffins that Nicki assuredly sent her as a thank-you, Nicki alluded to the poor sales of Remy’s most recent release on Instagram (which she later took down) as a response.
Nicki also made a reference to how well she’s doing and how popular she is by posting this little snippet of a little-known Queen Beyonce track (via Vulture):
Nicki’s feisty and stuff, but Remy Ma did eight years in prison for reportedly SHOOTING A MEMBER OF HER OWN ENTOURAGE. Nicki might want to move her famed ass to her panic room, because if that’s how she treats friends and co-workers…
