Angelina Jolie Talked About Her Divorce Again
To add a little context to that picture, that’s Angelina Jolie getting emotional while talking about her divorce, not struggling to keep a juicy tarantula burp down.
Angelina Jolie appeared on Good Morning America from Cambodia this morning to talk about her new movie First They Killed My Father. After talking about the movie, George Stephanopoulos asked her about her dramatic divorce from Brad Pitt.
Angelina pretty much said the same thing she did during her interview with the BBC. Angelina talked about the divorce that shook and destroyed the facade of Angelina and Brad’s sexy marriage. It’s good for anyone who missed her BBC interview. They’re a family, they’re going to come out stronger, sigh, deep breath, close eyes for moment of self-reflection.
“We are focusing on the health of our family. And so we will be, we will be stronger when we come out of this. Because that’s what we’re determined to do as a family.”
George reminded her that she often used to describe Brad as a wonderful father and part of the family, and asked her if she still believes that.
“Of course. Of course. We will always be a family. Always.”
I just pictured a stoned and confused Brad trying to figure out if there’s any shady subtext in that answer. “Okay, but what does she mean by ‘of course’.”
I’m sure if Angelina was given a couple extra seconds to elaborate, she might start getting a little more honest with her feelings. “We will always be a family. Always. But, I mean, if Brad wanted to skip a toy store run here and there, or like, I don’t know, bail on our weekly Saturday night bug fry, I would also be ok with that.”
Angelina gets into the divorce talk at the 2:31 mark.
