Justin Bieber Reportedly Played Sick To Get Out Of A Deposition

I know we joke a lot about Justin Bieber living his life like an unsupervised child with a checking account, but this latest stunt is straight out of elementary school. Back in May 2016, an indie artist named Casey Dienel accused Justin and Skrillex of jacking a sample from her song Ring The Bell and using it without permission in the opening of Sorry. TMZ says that Justin Bieber was scheduled to attend a deposition last week to give his testimony about that. We all know how seriously Justin Bieber takes depositions (not very). But this time he couldn’t even be bothered to show up. He called in sick. Coincidentally, I believe most people are sick to death of his bullshit. But Casey Dienel’s lawyers think he was faking and they’ve got receipts.

Justin’s lawyers said he was ill and couldn’t do the depo. The only problem was that around the same time Justin was supposedly sick, several videos appeared on YouTube showing him partying it up with his friends at Bootsy Bellows and later at a house party in the early morning hours before his scheduled deposition.

Casey’s lawyers also allege that just a few hours after Justin called in sick, he rubbed their noses in his fakery by Instagramming pictures of him drinking with his friends.

Casey’s lawyers are pissed, because they flew from Nashville to Los Angeles specifically for the deposition. They don’t want to make that trip again, and they’re demanding that the court force Justin to give his make-up deposition in March in Nashville.

So Justin is in more trouble this week. On the upside, it sounds like he might be out of trouble for that headbutting incident. A rep from Serafina, the restaurant where it all went down, tells Page Six that police took a look at security camera footage from when it happened, and that there’s nothing that “implicates” Justin Bieber. They also say that the receiver of the alleged headbutt was a party crasher. TMZ has a video from the night, but you can’t see Justin knock heads with anyone. They also spoke with the alleged victim, a guy named Dean Parker. Dean says he doesn’t want to press charges, but he is interested in fighting Justin Bieber before that Chris Brown/Soulja Boy boxing match. If there’s an adult present, please do not let Justin Bieber agree to this. He already got his head smashed in once this year. Two times might cause lasting damage to his soft developing skull.
