Justin Bieber’s Messy Fight In Cleveland Has Come Back To Haunt Him

In an alternate universe, this story is about Justin Bieber’s nanny finally getting revenge on him for the time he threw a tantrum and made her miss Hot in Cleveland. But in this world, it’s about the time Justin Bieber tried to whoop a dude’s ass in Cleveland ten months ago.

After game three of the NBA Finals on June 8th, Bieber got into a fight with a random guy outside of his hotel. The fight was caught on tape. The guy was significantly bigger than Bieber – no shock there, really – but Bieber was clearly feeling amped up and decided to take him. Shortly after it happened, a guy named Lamont Richmond came forward and told TMZ that it started after he asked a drunken Bieber for an autograph. Lamont later changed his story and said it wasn’t him in the video.

Lamont was right. It wasn’t him. According to Cleveland.com, the man who squared off with Bieber is a 34-year-old Las Vegas resident named Rodney Cannon. Rodney has recently filed an assault report regarding that night, and has named Justin Bieber in it.

According to Rodney, it started innocently enough. He and Bieber met each other as they entered the hotel and went on to share a drink at the hotel bar. When they left, Bieber allegedly grabbed Rodney’s sunglasses, to which he responded by taking a picture of Bieber. Bieber got mad and demanded Rodney delete the picture. Rodney said he’d delete the picture if Bieber returned his sunglasses. Bieber allegedly grabbed Rodney’s phone from him and started deleting pictures, but he didn’t get his glasses back. Rodney yanked the phone back from Bieber. That’s when, according to the police report, Bieber went crazy and started throwing punches. His bodyguards got in on the action too. Here’s the video from that night:

The police report says that Bieber’s bodyguards continued to punch Rodney after Bieber got in his initial shots. Rodney claims that he ended up going to a hospital in Nevada to treat an “acute head injury“, which might have been a concussion. He waited 10 months to call the cops. Sources tell TMZ the reason he waited so long was because he was allegedly trying to shake down Bieber for settlement money. Bieber refused to pay up, and so that’s why the police are now involved. Law enforcement are investigating, but so far no charges have been filed.

This situation is going to do nothing but jack off Justin Bieber’s obnoxious ego. It doesn’t matter that if you roll the tape, you see Rodney giving Bieber a forced time-out on the floor. And it doesn’t matter that Rodney’s alleged concussion might have been dreamed up to get a little extra cash (because please, as if Bieber’s fist feels heavier than a rolled-up sock). All that will matter to Bieber is that Rodney might have sustained a concussion during their fight. Justin Bieber is going to ride a tough-guy high off of that for the next three years.
