The “Flip Or Flop” Couple Want To Continue Hosting Their Show, Despite Hating Each Other

Get money, bitch!” That’s what Tarek and Christina El Moussa must be muttering to themselves through gritted teeth whenever they approach the set from their now-separate trailers.

People reports that they want to continue hosting their show Flip or Flop, on HGTV, despite the recent demolition of their seven-year-old marriage. Hey, plenty of people can’t stand their co-workers, but stick with the gig if the pay is good.

A source close to the couple tells PEOPLE that the Flip or Flop stars “are very much committed and want to continue to work together and continue the show.”

The execs at HGTV must be nervously deciding if the high ratings and plentiful ad dollars are worth the potential for attempted murder. Sources indicate that Tarek isn’t the nicest person on the television home improvement block. He also supposedly went for that disturbing jog with his gun after they split. So maybe they should be given separate shows? Or networks? No one wants a criminal trial complete with the “I mistook her for a mountain lion” defense.

According to TMZ, HGTV execs are going to monitor the show’s ratings before making a decision about signing on for more episodes, and also reported that there’s talk of a spin-off.

It sounds like it could go either way at this point? How about a show where they each take one half of a newly divorced couple and help them renovate two separate residences in which to live? They won’t have to appear on camera together, so pained grimaces and eyes slitted from hatred won’t have to be CGI-ed over.
