The “Flip Or Flop” Drama Just Got Darker
Tarek and Christina El Moussa of HGTV’s Flip or Flop may look like animatronic Old Navy mannequins (see: above) who have been programmed to only think about travertine, grey kitchen cabinets and neighborhood comps. But as we know, behind Tarek’s dead eyes and wax John Travolta-like face is rage and darkness. We all found out about the fall of one of HGTV’s golden couples after TMZ learned that the cops were called to their house because Tarek allegedly threatened to kill himself. When the cops showed up, Tarek ran from the house with a gun. He later said he was just letting out steam and brought a gun just in case a mountain lion tried to jump his ass. And now Life & Style has taken their drama to a darker place by saying that Tarek verbally abuses Christina in front of the crew and “joked” about raping her on set. Bill Cosby just picked up the phone to call HGTV about hosting a show for them.
A witness-type tells Life & Style that Tarek makes things so uncomfortable on set that last spring, the crew was told to keep shoots tight and make sure there’s as little downtime as possible. Apparently, downtime is to Tarek as water is to a mogwai. When there’s downtime on set, Tarek becomes a real piece of trash. A source says that sometimes Tarek gets so asshole-y during breaks that Christina hides in her car. Before they split, Tarek allegedly called her a whore all the time and really horrified the crew when he joked about raping her.
“[He said] ‘Shut up, woman, or I’ll rape you.’ He actually joked about raping Christina on more than one occasion. Tarek thinks it’s funny. Christina hit a breaking point and couldn’t stand to be around him anymore. She fell out of love.
Tarek found humor in insulting his wife in repeated verbal attacks. Some of his bad behavior was even caught on camera [in footage that never aired]. He [calls her a whore or worse] all the time and then laughed about it. Tarek treated Christina like garbage.”
You know how in Welcome to the Dollhouse, Brandon tells Weiner-Dog that he’s going to rape her at three o’clock? Who knew that Brandon grew up to be a serial killer-faced house flipper from Orange County, CA?
Tarek recently filed for divorce from Christina, and requested spousal support from her. He also asked the court to block Christina from trying to get spousal support out of him.
This mess reminds me…. Whenever I watch HGTV, I wonder if some dark-sided or weird shit happens behind-the-scenes. Like does the Fixer Upper couple freebase the tears of the gay couples they’ve denied? Do the Property Brothers jack off onto their client’s kitchen counters and use their fap leche as polish? (Some of their sucio fans would be into that.) Do the Love It or List It duo purposefully do a shitty job on a homeowner’s house because evil deeds like that give them life? No, that’s crazy. Those two don’t do anything that’s not written in the script.
