Keke Palmer, star of Scream Queens and hoochie wear legend in the making, is currently very pissed off at Trey Songz. Keke has accused Trey Songz of getting her drunk and using “sexual intimidation” to get her to appear in a music video. Because Keke is a famous person under the age of 30, she spilled the details of their drama on Instagram.
This situation is next-level confusing, but here goes. Two days ago, Trey Songz released a video for his song Pick Up the Phone. The video has since been yanked down due to a “copyright claim,” but here’s a short clip of it:
Keke makes an appearance in the video and she’s not happy about that. Keke hopped on Instagram and let everyone know that she never agreed to be in the video. Keke claims she wanted nothing to do with the video and tried to hide in a closet.
“This is preposterous. How am I in this video Trey? After you found me in a closet HIDING because I was so afraid of anymore conflict. Literally my last option was to hide because you all would not listen when I said I did not want to be in the video the FIRST time. Just cause you give someone food and alcohol and throw in a little sexual intimidation doesn’t mean they will buckle. Yet, you still disrespected me as a young women, whom you’ve known since she was TWELVE. YOU STILL defied my wishes and in turn showed your lack of respect for a brand that took me fourteen years to build and put me in the video against my wishes. Come on bruh, I clearly said no and you said okay, yet I was being secretly filmed when you told me “let me just show you the idea”?? Wow. This is what I’m referring to in my previous post, this is the sexism and misogyny I refer to because if I was a dude, he wouldn’t have even tried me like this. Let this be a lesson to all, I’m not for the bullshit. I’m serious about my business and you will not use my likeness without MY permission. When you in front of a boss you treat them like one, like I treat YOU. NO MEANS NO!!!!!!! People have to listen to women and stop questioning them and their intelligence. Speak up, cause when you look someone in the face and they say “I understand. You don’t have to feel pressured to do the video” and they STILL put you in it, it is a violation. It would be great to be able to handle these things privately but why when they aren’t respected?”
Keke explains that she was there, because she went to Trey’s house (where they were filming the video) for a party. According to Keke, they started playing Pick Up the Phone and she was asked to be in the video, she said no. His people kept asking, and that’s when a drunk Keke hid in a closet because she was officially tired of playing the “I said no” game.
It's okay to hide if that's the best way to remove yourself from a situation, Hilary I'm still mad you said that 🙄. I have suffered with anxiety most of my life, I did not go to high school, I am a bit socially inept. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, what matters is I said "no." After all that dramatic shit I still wound up in the video somehow. P.S. Don't feel bad about saying how you feel.
Trey Songz said on Twitter that he isn’t here for Keke calling him out on Instagram like that.
Babygirl buggin. Point blank period. Got my number, coulda called, saw the cameras and the lights, heard action.

I don't do this twitter shit, girl you know me and got my number fuck outta here

Keke slapped back by telling Trey that she would have contacted him privately if he had contacted her privately about her appearance in his video and didn’t resort to filming her without her consent.
Trey Songz responded by explaining on Instagram that he isn’t saying anything else because he doesn’t have time to fight with people on social media.
I think everyone at that party should have taken the hint that Keke really wasn’t interested in being in that Pick Up the Phone video when she crawled into that closet. Unless it was one of those studio-apartment-sized walk-in closets from Million Dollar Rooms, Keke’s closet experience is a pretty obvious last resort situation. You should probably assume someone really doesn’t want their face in your video if they’re willing to cram their ass between a two-tiered shoe rack and a dusty Space Bag full of sweaters.
