Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Are Officially Divorced

The day that we never thought would come has finally come. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are finally going to be divorced. We were teased with this same news five months ago, but TMZ says it’s for real this time. A judge has reportedly made their divorce final. I know strange things are supposed to happen on Friday the 13th, but I wasn’t expecting this.

A hearing was held today to discuss Amber’s latest contribution to their divorce drama. Amber wanted to reopen the case of their $7 million settlement and discuss why Johnny wanted $100,000 from her for lawyer’s fees. Johnny had accused her of trying to drag their divorce out for attention and more money. Amber shot back by accusing him of dragging their divorce out to punish her. TMZ says Amber was possibly dragging their divorce out so she could get a deposition from Johnny, but a judge wasn’t having that. The judge wasn’t having any of it today.

The judge ruled that they will stick with the original $7 million settlement and also shot down Johnny’s request for Amber to pay $100,000 worth of his legal fees. Amber also wanted Johnny to pay for her legal fees. The judge rejected that too.

They might be divorced, but there’s no way they’re done dragging each other. I figured Johnny would be the first. Like showing up to places in a bunch of passive aggressive t-shirts that say “Don’t Let Your Wallet Get Am-Burned” or “You HEARD It From Me – Marriage Sucks.” But it looks like it will be Amber who will get the first post-divorce swipe in. Amber’s lawyer gave the following statement to People.

“It is a great day. All Amber wanted was a divorce and now she has it. In the words of Gerald Ford, ‘Our long national nightmare is over.'”

I bet Laura Wasser is trying to convince her client not to respond with: “Yeah, well, four score and I HATE YOU!!!

Here’s Johnny working a dad gut and a perv ‘stache while filming LAbyrinth in LA earlier today.
