Casey Affleck RUINED Sylvester Stallone’s Golden Globes Experience

And it’s not because Sylvester Stallone was seated across from him and had to look at his janky beard and matching stringy hair situation all night. It’s actually the opposite of that. Sylvester Stallone wanted to sit at same table as Casey Affleck at the Golden Globe awards. In fact, he and his wife Jennifer Flavin were supposed to be seated at a table that included Casey and Matt Damon. But People says that when they went to sit down during the opening number, they noticed there was only one open chair and the story took a dramatic turn.

Sources say neither Casey nor Matt made an effort to solve the problem. Sly and Jennifer stood around for a while letting their blood pressure get higher and higher, and when it was clear no one was going to pull up a second chair and scooch a little to the left, they got frustrated and went to the green room. They reportedly watched the whole show backstage. A source claims that another chair was brought out to the table eventually, but Stallone was like “Nuh uh, I ain nuhna hughbudda back out there.

Sly remained in the green room with Jennifer for the rest of the evening, emerging only once at the end of the night to present the award for Best Picture, Drama with Carl Weathers.

Throwing a diva fit over a missing spot at a table is acceptable in my mind, especially if you’ve been promised food. But Sly and Jennifer probably wanted to sit down ASAP so they could watch their three daughters – Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet – give out awards as Miss Golden Globe.

People’s source says that after Casey won the award for Best Actor in a Drama, he went backstage and tried to apologize to Sly for the mid-ceremony musical chairs, but Sly was “not receptive.” The drama!!! Or maybe not. Another source claims the seating situation was confusing, but it “wasn’t personal.” Sly’s rep spoke to People, and while they wouldn’t comment on Casey Affleck’s involvement in it all, they do want you to know it’s just a “rumor.

“The story you refer to is an interesting rumor – but a rumor nonetheless. Sylvester Stallone had a wonderful evening attending and presenting at the Golden Globes and celebrating with his family and friends.”

Casey’s rep had no comment.

So if you were playing Where’s Rocky? during the Golden Globes on Sunday night and couldn’t find him, that’s why. Being backstage might not have been Sly and Jennifer’s first choice, but it was clearly the best choice. You could take off your shoes, stretch out on a couch and take a quick nap during Jimmy Fallon’s bits. Honestly, that missing chair sounds like a blessing in disguise.
