Sam Hunt Is Getting Married To The Girl He’s Obsessed With

Football player-turned-country-singer Sam Hunt got popular with an album released in 2014 called Montevallo. Montevallo is the name of the hometown of his on-again/off-again girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler. An album named after your hometown might set off some people’s clinger alarm, but not Sam Hunt’s girlfriend. People says that Sam Hunt’s rep recently confirmed that Sam asked Hannah Lee to marry him, and she said yes.

Sam Hunt’s Montevallo was like what you’d get if someone took Taylor Swift and threw her in a blender with a heapin’ spoonful of Country Bro hard lemonade mix. A bunch of the songs on Montevallo were about Sam and Hannah’s personal drama. After Hannah said “yes, y’all” to Sam’s proposal, he celebrated their engagement by releasing a song apologizing to her for spilling the messy details of their relationship in an album.

Sam released Drinkin’ Too Much, and if the lyrics are any indication, it sounds like Hannah wasn’t too crazy about the source material for Montevallo.

I’m sorry I named the album Montevallo
I’m sorry people know your name now and strangers hit you up on social media
I’m sorry you can’t listen to the radio
I know you want your privacy
You’ve got nothing to say to me
But I wish you’d let me pay off your student loans with these songs you gave to me

You changed your number and moved and this is the only way I can reach you
Hannah Lee, I’m on my way to you

I wonder which came first, the ring or the apology song? If Sam Hunt got some serious side-eyes from Hannah for treating his album like a damn diary, then I’m guessing the apology song came first. Hannah no doubt wanted to make sure Sam was actually seriously sorry before she said yes to the dress. You know he’s committed to making it work if a country bro singer agrees to write a song that doesn’t have to do with red Solo cups, kicking boots up, or tearing ass in a truck.
