A Property Brother Is Going To Become A Property Husband

As one HGTV couple’s marriage crumbles into a pile of dusty plaster and wood lath, the foundation for another HGTV marriage has just been poured. People magazine has announced that last night, Property Brothers Drew Scott, aka the business in the front to Jonathan’s party in the back, got engaged to his girlfriend of six years Linda Phan.

Linda is the creative director of Scott Brothers Entertainment, Drew and Jonathan’s production company. They met at a fashion show. 38-year-old Drew tells People that he spent weeks planning his proposal to 31-year-old Linda. I hope Linda wasn’t on a no-carb diet, because Drew’s proposal was really corny.

Drew recorded his own version of Train’s Marry Me, which he asked the staff at a Toronto restaurant to play while they brought out a cake decorated to look like Dr. Seuss’ Oh the Places You’ll Go that said Oh the Places We’ll Go. He then took Linda to a surprise engagement party with their family that he tricked her into thinking was a staff Christmas party. That’s a dirty kind of sneaky. Linda was probably looking forward to getting holiday hammered with her co-workers, but instead she ended up staying semi-sober by spending the whole night showing off THE RING!!! to Drew’s family.

Drew tells People: “I’ve never met another woman like her and once you do, you want to be with her forever.” Drew must have realized Linda was his forever soulmate when he asked her to go to a toilet-themed cafe and her immediate response wasn’t “Lose my number, scat freak.”

Drew and Jonathan share a vacation house in Las Vegas. I doubt his new wife will want to shack up with both brothers every single time they all decide to fly south. I wonder how they’ll handle that awkward conversation? Maybe they can ease the tension by doing it on TV. Coming soon to HGTV: Get Your Own Vacation Property, Brother.
