Brad Pitt Wants To Have The Brangelina Custody Documents Sealed

I’m neither Brad Pitt, Brad Pitt’s lawyer, or one of his many children, but I know a lot about his custody battle with his soon-to-be ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Every day, there’s a new story about who has the kids or where the kids are moving or how many supervised visits Brad gets. Well, Brad really wanted it so that none of us will know anything about his custody battle in the future. Bad news for him, a judge doesn’t agree.

TMZ says that Brad filed documents yesterday in family court requesting an emergency hearing to have the details of his custody fight sealed. Brad wants the judge to seal all documents and proceedings related to their custody negotiations for the sake of the children. Brad isn’t happy that a certain someone is giving breaking news updates to the media and he thinks it’s hurting their kids.

Sources close to Angelina tell TMZ that any documents she filed were preventative measures to protect herself and the kids in the event that Brad tried to change the current arrangement (ie. like push for joint custody). But Brad’s sources claim that the only document Angelina has filed was a public one meant to drag his reputation down the toilet. It’s safe to assume that if Brad isn’t happy about Angelina airing their custody laundry in public, then he definitely wasn’t happy about her rep releasing a public statement about their custody agreement.

TMZ says Brad and Angelina’s original custody agreement was meant to be a private one, and that by making everything public, it’s proof (in his mind) that she’s not thinking in the best interests of the kids, which makes her a crappy mommy. The family court hearing was scheduled for this morning. TMZ says the judge stamped REJECTED on Brad’s request. Sorry Brad, no sealed custody documents for you.

I wonder how Angelina’s dream team will spin this. I bet someone will “leak” a picture of her sitting on a throne made of homemade Mother’s Day cards and World’s Best Mom mugs. Take that, Brad!
