People Magazine Claims Kanye West Wasn’t Checked Into The Hospital Against His Will

When the news broke on Monday night that shit had gotten all kinds of real for Kanye West’s mental health situation, there were a lot of details to process. TMZ said that Kanye was being held at the UCLA Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation regarding his latest series of mid-concert meltdowns and exhaustion-triggered Saint Pablo tour cancellation. Then TMZ said Kanye’s doctor, Dr. Michael Farzam, had put Kanye on a 5150 hold, aka the universal hospital code for “This is serious.” People claimed Kanye was fine and he was just chilling out in the hospital for “sleep deprivation.” People now claims to have more information, and they’re still shaking their head in a “nope, nothing to see here!” way.

People says a source tells them that Kanye’s hospital situation on Monday wasn’t nearly as dramatic as it sounds. They still say that Kanye was never put on a 5150 hold after he got into a fight at the gym. The source claims that Kanye did get into a bit of a thing at the gym, but he was deemed medically stable and willingly decided to swing by the hospital at the suggestion of Dr. Farzam. Once again, they say that Kanye is “fine.

People’s source also says that Kanye was never restrained and that he went freely to the hospital. Uh oh. I hope Kris Jenner didn’t hear that. There’s going to be hell to pay when she learns that one of her moneymakers did something that sounds suspiciously like the word “free.

People isn’t the only source of new information on Kanye’s current state. TMZ maintains that Kanye’s doctor put him in the hospital, but it was all because the doctor was thinking about the best interests of Kanye’s bank account. Kanye reportedly lost $30 million from the cancelled Saint Pablo shows and has to pay for the venues, etc. that he bailed on. Well, Kanye has an insurance policy that covers him against sudden illness. TMZ says that Kanye’s doctor “set the groundwork” for making sure he doesn’t have to pay all those venues out of pocket. Kanye’s insurance company could deny his claim if his illness was the result of an undisclosed previous condition, or was caused by “unreasonable or capricious behavior.” Okay, well good luck with that. This is a man who charges hundreds of dollars for torn-up sweatshirts and once threw out a $30,000 couch just because he didn’t like the look of it anymore. Being unreasonable is sort of his thing.

We already know that Kim Kardashian is kurrently at Kanye’s bedside. Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian also flew home after the Angel Ball on Monday night. Here they are getting off the plane in Los Angeles. I’m sure they’ll go straight to the hospital just as soon as they unpack their voice distorters and feed some more contradicting stories to the press.
