I know Lady Gaga’s thing right now is hats, specifically that pink one that’s practically the official mascot of her Joanne promotional tour. So I shouldn’t have been surprised that she showed up to the American Music Awards last night in her biggest, stiffest-brimmed hat. It was nice of her to switch out that pink hat for the evening. I’m sure it was starting to get all limp from all the sweaty forehead foundation it was no doubt collecting and could use a good soak before the Grammys in February. Sorry AMAs, but you get the backup hat.
I was a little surprised she didn’t pair her white formal award show hat with a matching white satin thong since an exposed ass is also her thing at the moment. Instead she went classy by wearing a white suit. I know Lady Gaga hates hates HATES being compared to Madonna, so she might not want to avoid the internet today.

If Lady Gaga could go back in time, she probably should have picked a different ensemble to wear. But it has nothing to do with looking like Carmen Sandiego’s WASPy half-sister. It’s because singer-person Bebe Rexha showed up looking like this:
(Note from Michael: “Bebe Rexha” is the technical name for “Kylie Jenner Droid,” right?)
Hello, police? I’d like to report an attempted robbery. Bebe Rexha almost stole Lady Gaga’s role as Donatella Versace out from under her last night. Earlier this month, Lady Gaga was rumored to be playing Donatella in Versace/Cunanan: American Crime Story. If I were Lady Gaga, I’d be nervously calling my agent right now. Bebe Rexha is serving young Donatella by the pound, and she’s giving it away for free. The dress, the hair, the overall energy that says “I’d rather be disco napping.” I’m sorry Gaga, but that’s the kind of drowsy look you can’t learn in acting school.
But of course nobody could hold a candle to red carpet vanguard Z Lala last night. I don’t know what you’d call this look (futuristic latex linebacker raven?) But I am 99% positive she’s the lovechild of Janet Jackson and Busta Rhymes from the What’s It Gonna Be video.
Here’s more of Lady Gaga, Bebe Rexha, Z Lala, and a whole lot of other famous people from the AMAs last night.
