Andy Cohen Learned That Taylor Swift Isn’t Here For Jokes About Her Feud With Katy Perry

Andy Cohen has a Bachelor in Shit Disturbing from Shady Bitch University, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise that he once tried to throw a metaphorical cherry bomb into the direction of Taylor Swift’s ongoing feud with Katy Perry. In fact, I’d be more surprised to learn that Andy hadn’t done such a thing. So would his bosses at Bravo. They’d check his forehead and ask, “Are you feeling ok Andy?

UsWeekly says that Andy talks about how he found himself on the receiving end of one of Taylor Swift’s death stares in his latest book, Superficial: More Adventures From the Andy Cohen Diaries. Andy was at an after-party for the 2016 Met Gala. Andy was killing time with talent agent Bryan Lourd before Lady Gaga was set to perform when he spotted Taylor at the bar.

Andy approached her and “innocently” pointed out the table where “her friend Katy” was sitting and joked that there was plenty of room for them to sit together. Andy claims Taylor responded Mariah-style with a “Katy who?” That’s when Andy probably should have realized that his “joke” was going over worse than a memo telling Real Housewives they can’t get drunk and pilled-up before a reunion show. He didn’t though, and instead kept poking Taylor until he broke her last pumpkin spiced nerve.

“I said, ‘Perry,’ at which point she clearly let me know that she’s the exact opposite of her friend. I kind of gasped, realizing she was in the most famous feud of all the feuds.”

Swift allegedly started to walk away, but turned around and commanded Cohen “not to say a word about this on my show, and said that she’s watching.”

Andy agreed to Taylor’s conditions, and then showed her that she’s not the only one who can act like a power-tripping 13-year-old. Andy says he vowed right then and there that he would also stop “playing into the hype” that Taylor created around her feud with Katy. Oh silly, silly Andy. As if that matters? Taylor and Katy are more than capable of keeping their mean girl fight going without anyone else’s help.
