Some SF Giants Fans Are Blaming Taylor Swift For Their Recent World Series Elimination

October 21, 2016 / Posted by:

I’m sure this picture of Taylor Swift wearing the team colors isn’t helping. According to The Oregonian, several San Francisco Giants fans are pissed at Taylor and itt turns out it’s because she messed up their World Series superstition by not releasing an album this year. Curse you, Taylor Swift!

The SF Giants won the World Series in 2010, 2012, and 2014. Two of those wins happened in October (the last happened on November 1st). Taylor Swift released albums in 2010 (Speak Now), 2012 (Red), and 2014 (1989), all released in the month of October. By that psychotic logic, if Taylor Swift had released an album in 2016, then the SF Giants would have won the World Series, right? Well, we’ll never know for sure, because Taylor Swift was too auditioning new famous friends to release an album this month.

The SF Giants played the Chicago Cubs last week to see who would advance to the National League Championship Series, and the SF Giants lost. But it wasn’t because they sucked at doing the thing with the ball and the bases. It was totally because Taylor Swift didn’t put out an album. The Oregonian says that some SF Giants fans hopped on Twitter to let the person who runs Taylor Swift’s Twitter account know that she’s responsible for crushing their World Series dreams.

Those SF Giants fans are about to learn that they messed up by coming for Taylor Swift. She may be shaped like a baseball bat, but Taylor does not play. Taylor is going to get revenge on all those Bay area meanies by getting papped on some rocks at Fisherman’s Wharf kissing the mascot of the SF Giants, Lou Seal. Then she’ll break up with Lou and tarnish his reputation by releasing an album of diss tracks called Lou SUCK the night before a 2018 World Series qualifying game. Lou will be so embarrassed he won’t be able to shake his fuzzy foam ass for the crowd, and the SF Giants will lose AGAIN. You have no idea what you’ve brought upon yourselves, Giants fans.
