Kim Kardashian’s Jewelry Heist Might Have Been An Inside Job

The plot of Kim Kardashian’s Paris hotel robbery story has officially gotten thicker. “Just like how my butt gets thicker every three or four months?” Yes Kim, just like that. So we already know that early yesterday morning, Kim was held at gunpoint in her room at the Hotel de Pourtalès in Paris while a gang of thieves robbed her of $10 million worth of jewelry. And surprise, surprise, police believe it may have been an inside job.

TMZ is saying that both the police and Kim’s klosest have suspicions that people on the inside may have helped plan the robbery. They think it’s a little too convenient that Kim was without a bodyguard at the exact moment she was robbed. Kim’s bodyguard Pascal Duvier was out guarding Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner when shit went down. That doesn’t mean Pascal is currently sweating it out in a dank police station interrogation room with two detectives playing bon cop/mal cop. Neither the Paris police nor the Kardashians think Pascal had anything to do with it. They believe that someone in the hotel tipped thieves off.

There are multiple units in the hotel and lots of people involved with Paris Fashion Week who could figure out Kim’s schedule. Okay, but to be fair, I think anyone could figure that out. Wake up, coat self in 10lbs of makeup, take a million selfies, squeeze into something skanky, trot for the paps, crawl into bed, dream of next face. Paris police are currently checking the phone records of people in and around the building for any suspicious activity.

Phone records might be their only lead right now. Sources tell TMZ that there is no security camera footage from inside or outside of the hotel. The only video footage of the area is from a police surveillance camera, but it doesn’t face the hotel. The police were also hoping businesses in the area might have caught something, but so far they’ve got nothing.

On the topic of cameras, TMZ has learned that the robbers only took one of Kim’s phones, but the only thing of value on it will be whatever leftover data roaming she hadn’t used up. TMZ says the phone was remotely wiped and contains no “compromising information.

TMZ says that after the concierge, who was reportedly held at gunpoint, let the thieves in, two of them went up to Kim’s bedroom. She was asleep and woke up when she heard noises. She tried to call Pascal, but one of the thieves allegedly ripped her phone away. They zip tied and duct taped her hands and then duct taped her ankles. Kim thought they were going to rape her. The thieves apparently only spoke French but kept saying “ring ring ring.” They were talking about that $4 million ring Kim flaunted on Instagram.

Just because Kim was sans-bodyguard doesn’t mean she was totally alone during the robbery. E! News says that Kim’s stylist Simone Harouche was also staying in her apartment. Simone reportedly heard the commotion coming from Kim’s room, and locked herself in a downstairs bathroom. A source says Simone couldn’t dial 911 from her phone for some reason, so she texted Pascal and Kourtney instead. Pascal reportedly got back to the hotel 2 minutes later. E!’s source says that Kim “ ran to Simone with duct tape on her legs” and Page Six’s source says she “managed to slip out of the plastic ties around her wrists by wriggling her hands.”

After Kim dramatically freed herself of her duct tape bondage and breathed a huge sigh of relief that she was only tied up and robbed, she screamed for help before running to Simone. Kim then told Simone to go get help by jumping off the balcony. I don’t know if there’s a low-hanging balcony around the back of the hotel, but this is where the balconies are on the front.

Kim’s depth perception must be permanently fucked up from staring into her phone all day, because unless you’re a parkour expert, that’s too damn high of a jump. I hope she at least offered Simone a pair of her most-dense foam ass pads to help break her fall.
