Madonna Has Agreed To Let Rocco Ritchie Live With His Dad

Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s dramatic custody fight over their 16-year-old son Rocco Ritchie is officially over. At least for now. We are talking about a situation involving a teenager and two adults with a history of acting like teenagers, so maybe let’s not hold our breath on this one just yet.

It’s been almost 10 months since Rocco Ritchie decided to do the rich kid version of running away from home (ie. refusing to get on your mom’s private jet and staying at your dad’s house in London). Page Six reports that after 10 long months of drama that included (but not limited to) accusations of brainwashing, publicly referring to Guy as a “cunt“, multiple messy meetings, and performing in lunatic drag, Madonna has waved that white flag that many figured she would pull out and wave. Rocco Ritchie is now officially allowed to live full-time with his dad in London. Guy Ritchie’s lawyer confirmed the news:

“The case is settled and everyone agrees that the Rocco’s needs changed and he’s going to be living with dad and everyone’s agreed to that and there’s no further need for any kind of a court case.”

One of the reasons Madonna was opposed to Rocco living with Papa Ritchie was because Guy was too relaxed with rules and going to school and whatnot. Meanwhile, Rocco wanted to leave because he was tired of Madonna dragging him on tour and felt more stable with Guy. Personally, I think he was just sick of his mother coming into the rec room when his teen friends were over and asking “her fellow peeps” to explain Tumblr to her and if gold grillz were still cool.

According to a custody court spokesperson, this settlement between Madonna and Guy was filed on Tuesday. Although we all know it’s not technically official until Madonna Instagrams a cringeworthy picture of Rocco with an even-cringier caption. I’m sure she’s putting together something special as we speak.
