Hot Slut Of The Day!

Alice Baxter (as played by Amy Aquino) from Working Girl!

Alice Baxter plays a very pivotal and highly important role in Working Girl. Not only does she show us the right way to work a spiral perm, but she’s also the messenger who lets Tess know that all of that hard work and scheming paid off and got Tess to the top (or at least to the upper middle)!

After Tess proves that she’s a mergers and acquisitions genius, Trask gives her an “entry-level job” at his company and when she shows up on her first day, she sees Alice talking on the phone in an office. Tess assumes that Alice is her boss and she’s back in the typing pool with the other secretaries. But when Tess sits at the secretary’s desk, Alice comes back from getting coffee and throws her a, “This bitch is crazy,” look before telling her in so many words that she’s in the wrong seat.  It takes a confused Tess a second to realize that she’s a junior executive with her own office and assistant now. (An assistant with a hot spiral perm, might I add.) If I was Alice, I’d think to myself, “Lord, my new boss is a damn crackhead who doesn’t even know where she’s supposed to sit! I better start looking for a new job in the newspaper want ads since Monster.com doesn’t exist yet. ”

Working Girl is a classic and I’m sure you have every scene memorized, but just in case you don’t, click here to watch Alice Baxter deliver the news that Tess McGill has finally made it and is on her way to becoming a powerful business woman who will be able to easily afford a six thousand dollar dress that’s not even leath-uh!

And hopefully on this Labor Day, you’re resting up and preparing to expose Sigourney Weaver, which will lead to you shooting the shit with Cyn in your new office as a Carly Simon song blasts in the background. Happy Labor Day, everyone!
