Larry King’s Kids Think His Wife Is Controlling His Mind

Ancient talking head Larry King, 82, and his Nancy Reagan’s secret lovechild with the dummy from Dead Silence-looking wife Shawn King, 56, are once again in the new due to an alleged affair she had. The couple did a TV interview together this past week to dispel the rumors that their marriage is verging on code black (again). People reports that Larry’s kids weren’t feeling the interview, and think that Shawn’s Botox usage has activated mutant powers of mind control within her, and she’s using them to overtake Larry’s brain. Either that or Larry was like, “Let’s just do the damn interview because I’m old and don’t need the world’s guff and there’s no way Shawn’s gettin’ my CNN money!”

The Kings smiled through the pain and their mutual dislike of each other on the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family show (via UsWeekly) on Thursday. In a joint interview, they denied that they have marital discord despite Shawn allegedly getting speech therapist Richard Greene to teach her vagina how to say, “YEESSSS,” for over a year. Larry said this during the interview:

“You said an interesting word, ‘rumor.’ I’ve been in the business — next May, it’ll be 60 years — and I’ve dealt with rumors a long time. Interviewed people involved with rumors. Rumors are what they are — they’re rumors. And I tell you the truth, I don’t pay any attention to them.”

Shawn chimed in and brought delicious Chicken Kiev into this mess as a distraction. Or Russia, or something. Look, I’m not a map, ok?

“Last week, there was a rumor going around about Larry and a speech he made in Kiev. This week, I’m the latest pinup girl. You just have to develop a shell around yourself and not get hard on the inside, and stick together.”

I didn’t read an affair denial in there.

Larry and Shawn also rolled around on their bed together for the disgust benefit of Home & Family’s three viewers (of which I’m one because it’s the Golden Girls rerun station). Shawn said, “All those rumors, we’re gonna put them to rest right now,” as she hugged Larry.

A source tells People that Larry’s kids think Shawn and her father Karl Engemann (an entertainment manager who counts Larry among his clients) forced him to take part in the interview and that uncomfortable mattress moment. The source said:

“It was a sham interview. His kids are disgusted and outraged. They are controlling his mind. This is another example of Shawn’s manipulation.”

Larry’s worth over $100 million so you could see how seedy, desperate types would pull a Kilgrave on his aeons-old ass to keep things green. My question is – which of Larry’s numerous children took issue with Shawn and her dad’s supposed brain-washing skills?

According to Wikipedia, has been married 8 times and has 5 kids. Chance and Cannon are his teenage sons with Shawn. The rest are all grown-up and capable of spilling the tea to the tabs. He has a daughter with his fourth wife, an adopted son with his third, and Larry Jr., his son with his second wife. Larry Jr. was in his 30s when he met his dad for the first time. Which of these children want to make sure Shawn and her daddy don’t make off with Larry’s dusty millions that he probably keeps under the mattress because he was alive before banks? Hell, he was alive before currency. He paid for things with rocks.

You can watch the most uncomfortable parts of the Kings’ interview below. The part where Larry plants the desperate kiss on Shawn’s forehead as if her daddy was off-camera holding a gun at his Metamucil canister is particularly chilling.
