Drake Made A Joke About Making A Baby With Rihanna
Drake’s OVO Fest happened in Toronto on Sunday and Monday and joining the Sensitive Prince of The 6 on stage both nights was Rihanna, which is a really nice thing for a secret girlfriend/not girlfriend/whatever she is at the moment to do. The last time we checked in on RiRi, she had pulled out of a Lollapalooza performance in Colombia because of Zika. She also wore some stomach-hiding couture and so lots of people wondered if that meant she was knocked up. Maybe Drake didn’t know about the pregnancy rumors, or maybe he was just trying to keep them warm, because he made a joke about making a baby with her to the audience at OVO.
People says it happened while Drake was thanking Rihanna for taking time out of her busy schedule to fly to Toronto and perform with him twice. Apparently Drake’s way of repaying RiRi for her kindness is to split a baby with her.
“You showed up two nights in a row for my city. You might have to go half on a baby. This is the greatest entertainer in the world, flying all the way in from God knows where…and looking good doing it too.”
And by the looks of this video, there was only an audience full of people stopping them from doing it right then and there on stage.
That’s very irresponsible of Drake to joke about going half on a baby. For the Drake-obsessed citizens of Toronto, this is as close as they’ve gotten to their very own Prince George. You could have given Toronto city councillor and Drake superfan Norm Kelly a heart attack, Drake! Not to mention that he’s sort of putting the wheels in front of the chair on this one.
At least let Rihanna get comfortable with the idea of referring to you as more than just “my good friend Drake” before you go and make a child together. According to E! News, Rihanna is the reason for why they haven’t gone public with their relationship. A source says that Rihanna doesn’t want to put a label on their situation. The source adds that she wants to take things day by day.
Poor Drake though. He said “go half on a baby” as a joke, but you know deep down in his sensitive heart that there was probably a sliver of wishing behind it. Drake totally seems like the type who has a shoebox stuffed in the back of his closet containing a notebook filled with future baby names and a tiny baby-sized Raptors jersey.
