Yesterday, we learned that Amy Schumer doesn’t like when you take her picture without asking permission first. Amy proclaimed on Instagram that she wasn’t going to take pictures with fans anymore after a fan got a little too aggressive and “scared the shit” out of her in Greenville, SC over the weekend. Amy threw up his picture online and claimed that he hissed the words “no it’s America and we paid for you” in response to her asking him to stop. Well, that fan has come forward to tell his side of the story and he says it didn’t happen like that. He’d also appreciate if the rest of Amy’s fans would stop coming for him on social media.
Leslie Brewer (the guy who tried to take Amy’s picture) tells the NY Daily News that his run-in with Amy Schumer happened like this. He saw her on the street, so he pulled out his phone and started taking a video of her. Amy asked him to stop once she realized he was filming her, and Leslie claims he stopped recording and apologized. Amy then walked away. Not too long after, Leslie says Amy walked back up to him, took his picture, and started chewing him out for being “disrespectful” and telling him he’s setting a bad example for his wife and daughter. The picture she took is apparently the one she threw up on Instagram when she called him out.
To prove he’s not a horrible monster, Leslie posted the video he took of Amy that ends with her asking him to stop.
“I think she got mad at me.” Poor sweet naive Ghost of Leslie Past. You truly have no idea the Hell that’s about to here go come. Leslie says he regrets not filming the rest of their interaction, because he wishes he could show people what really happened. One of the reasons is probably because he’s received a non-stop stream of white hot shit online ever since Amy slapped at him on Instagram.
Leslie recently told TMZ (Leslie has really made the rounds) that some of Amy’s 4.1 million Instagram followers have sworn vengeance against the man who dared to scare her. And he says it’s gotten pretty ugly. Leslie claims he’s received death threats, been called the n-word, and seen people tell Amy that they’ll “jump him” for her if they see him. His Instagram account has been set to private, which was probably a good move. So far, he hasn’t reported any of the threats to the police.
Leslie believes he hasn’t done anything wrong. Leslie says he responded to seeing Amy Schumer in the same way lots of fans would respond to seeing a celebrity. He also side-eyes Amy’s claim that she was scared; according to Leslie, he wasn’t being aggressive in the least. Amy has thoughts on that. Earlier today, she hopped on Instagram and slapped at Leslie again. This time she was a little more subtle though.
Thanks dre money. I'm no happier than anyone on here. People who write mean things I'm sending you so much love you need it. Everything I said is true. I feel sorry for people who have to live knowing they lied especially in front of their children who know the truth. Have a great day. All love today!
Of course, there is a chance Amy is publicly calling out someone else who lied in front of their children. Maybe she’s calling out the mother-daughter crotch sweat control team who told her that applying deodorant between her business would prevent chafing in her Met Gala dress. “You liars! I was barely out of my limo before it felt like my inner thighs on fire!”
Speaking of the Met Gala, here are some pictures of Amy Schumer stealing a tray of donuts on her way out of the Met Gala.
