Open Post: Hosted By Wonder Woman, Her Mom And Her Tias

Many of the critics are saying that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a bigger mess than the maybe-fake tattoo on Ben Affleck’s back, so one way to get everyone to ignore that shit is to dangle a shiny, brand new picture from the Wonder Woman movie at us. The WW movie doesn’t come out until June 2017, but DC Comics hardened nerd nipples everywhere today when they released this promo picture of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) with her mom Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), her Auntie Melanippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli of Force Majeure) and her Auntie Antiope (Claire Underwood aka Robin Wright).

Never mind that this picture is so Photoshopped that it looks like an airbrushed painting on the side of some dude’s van, I am all for this. Specifically, I am all for Claire Underwood in chichi armor and looking like she’s a red dye job away from doing Red Sonja cosplay. I know that many lady superheroes are allergic to pants, and that’s fine and everything, but when are the dude superheroes going to be hit with that pants allergy too? Because I’d be throwing my money at Fandango if Superman flew around in a thong and thigh high boots.
