Iggy Azalea Says She Had To Have A “Psychotic Breakdown” To Get Out Of Her Tour

There have always been a few theories as to why Iggy Azalea’s Great Escape tour was put out of its misery last May. Some said it was because Iggy was being a difficult diva. Other said it was because ticket sales were worse than her rapping. Shortly before the plug was pulled, a rep for Def Jam claimed it was because Iggy wanted to put on the best possible show for her fans and needed more time. Well, Iggy has spilled the TRUTH to Schön! magazine (via Page Six). According to Iggy, her Great Escape tour never happened because she was tired and wanted a break. Tired? How very Lili von Shtupp of you, Iggy.

“I had to have a psychotic breakdown last year. I felt tired and stressed out.”

Iggy says she feels like her energy’s “been renewed” and still wants to go on tour. But now the problem is that she just doesn’t have any time to do it because she’s too busy. Apparently being Nick Young’s fiance is a full-time job.

“See? It’s too much stuff! I’ve got to have a wedding and go on a fucking honeymoon and…put on an arena tour, all across the whole world.”

As for what caused that “psychotic breakdown“, Iggy points her finger at that shit-starting skank bitch The Media for making her out to be some kind of gibberish-spouting brat.

“Last year, I felt like I was definitely not in control of the media’s narrative of me. It made me feel very out of control of my own life or my ability to have my own perception of who I was. You don’t want someone else writing your narrative and making you the villain. Then I just realized that, you know what, you can’t control it and I think I accepted that and moved on to living my life.”

I don’t know about that; Iggy Azalea did a pretty good job of looking like an asshole all on her own. Let’s see, there was the fights with Britney Spears and Azealia Banks on Twitter. And getting caught saying homophobic and racist stuff on Twitter. And swiping at Steve Madden and Papa Johns on Twitter. Forget about the media, I think having a Twitter account caused Iggy Azalea’s breakdown.
