Hot Slut Of The Day!

Jenny Beavan, the hands-down best-dressed at the Oscars last night!

Every best dressed Oscars list that doesn’t have Jenny Beavan at the top of it is a lie and should be deleted from the Internet forever. While many people’s internal organs were probably in their throat from being suffocated in a corset and a Spanx cocoon, Jenny had the right idea when she showed up wearing the look-for-less version of one of the costumes she designed for Mad Max: Fury Road. Jenny won the Best Costume Design Oscar for the work she did in Mad Max and also won my heart when she went on the stage looking like the matriarch of a biker family. Jenny dresses like Johnny Depp better than Johnny Depp dresses like Johnny Depp.

Jenny told reporters backstage that she doesn’t do gowns and all the hos looking at her like, “You could’ve dressed up a little,” are crazy, because she was dressed up!

“I really don’t do frocks, and I absolutely don’t do heels. I simply can’t wear them. I’ve got a bad back. I look ridiculous in a beautiful gown, and this was an homage to ‘Mad Max. I’m actually in Marks & Spencer’s, I just like feeling comfortable. And I’m sorry — as far as I’m concerned, I’m really dressed up.”

A couple of weeks ago, I posted about how Jenny’s friend Stephen Fry dramatically quit Twitter after dramatic tricks came at him for making a harmless joke about her look. Jenny also showed up to the BAFTAs wearing a look from the House of Who Gives A Fuck. Stephen hosted the BAFTAs and after Jenny won for Best Costume Design, he joked on Twitter that one of the “great cinematic costume designers” came to the ceremony dressed like a “bag lady.” Twitter went into outrage mode and demanded that Stephen throw a sorry at Jenny. Stephen hit the delete button on his Twitter account instead.

Jenny’s style definitely brings out the emotions and I love it. At last night’s Oscars, when Jenny made her way down the aisle to give her speech, a bunch of people (including Gandalf in the back) didn’t clap for her and Alejandro G. Iñárritu read her with his eyes.

They didn’t clap because they were stunned with jealousy. They’re sitting there in a stuffy tuxedo as Jenny Beavan glides down the aisle with comfortable ease while giving us the epitome of easy, breezy hotness. Jenny’s style can shut down Twitter account and it makes Oscar-winning directors seethe. All hail the style queen of the Oscars!
