A Singer Named Ryn Weaver Slapped At Katy Perry On Twitter And Called Her A “Bully”
We all know who the woman in 10lbs of high-grade spackle and 5lbs of flammable hair on the right is, but allow me to introduce the person to her left. On the left we have what the Internet tells me is a 23-year-old singer and songwriter named Ryn Weaver. She also happens to be the latest person to accuse Katy Perry of being the music industry’s Regina George.
According to Gigwise, it all started last Friday when Katy tweeted about an upcoming concert she’s doing in support of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign. Apparently Ryn (whose real name is Erin, because of course it is) isn’t a huge Hillary fan either, so she responded by calling Katy “ignorant“, questioning if she got paid to endorse Hillary, and linking to a video to a video titled: “Hillary Clinton Lying for 13 Minutes Straight.” I think Ryn can go ahead and add “aspiring troll” to her Wiki page.
Ryn then followed that up with a tweet (that has since been deleted, probably because she didn’t want Katy to cast a bitchy teen witch spell that curses Ryn to spend what’s left of her career playing state fairs and Arby’s openings) swatting at Katy Perry for being a mean girl to her.
“No offense @katyperry but considering how much of a bully you were to me… I hope u don’t mind my mindful disagreement w ur $$ endorsement”
Obviously it wasn’t long before some of Katy’s rabid katycats came for Ryn demanding she explain that casual bully comment, so she did. What you’re about to see truly reads like a text message transcription of a 2am drunk teen girl’s bus conversation, so…yeah, you’ve been warned.
“If u must know. She came up to me and my friends. Knowing I played. After we were friends. Then stared at me the whole time. She spoke to my friend waiting for me to speak. Anytime I spoke, she started turning her head around pretending she heard something. Then said “dos u hear something?” While staring at me. Anytime I spoke, after we were already friends. Did this the entire night. Then came with us to Drake and stared at me the WHOLE SHOW. Then any time I caught her eye out of my periphery, she proceeded to alert her entire posse saying “That Ryn Weaver girl is soooo obsessed with me” loud enough for my entire group of friends to hear. While talking the WHOLE NIGHT loud enough for me to hear, after pretending I didn’t even exist.”
Ryn ended it all by pulling an “I’m not a bully, SHE’S the bully!” by tweeting that she’s not stirring up shit, she’s just keeping it real.
Only shared a real life industry bully story because people asked. I've met so many gracious artists. I don't go lie. Sorry.

Artists are meant to speak their mind in their art… But be mutes when it comes to their experiences.. Yet write about.. Their experiences?

So far, Katy has yet to comment on this, but I’m sure when she does, it will be by asking “Who???” followed by a shrug.
Since we only have one side of this, Ryn’s story could be true and it could also be some Mean Girl-inspired fan fiction. Either way, I’m 90% sure a pink crystal coach drawn by a team of 12 kittens just pulled up to her house with a giant heart-shaped frosted sugar cookie inside that reads “Congratulations, you are cordially invited to join Taylor Swift’s squad!”
