Sarah Palin is the political mind of our time, a comedy genius, a poet, devoted mother to an abstinence icon, devoted mother to a lady beating piece of trash and the pride of Alaska. But to me, Sarah Palin will forever be the fashion icon of ‘Murica! As everyone knows by now, Tweedledum officially endorsed Tweedledee for POTUS in front of cameras in Iowa yesterday, which was surprising since we all know her as Alaska’s official state flower who is so shy and demure that she hardly ever lets her petals touch the spotlight. (Fun fact: Alaska’s official state flower is the “Forget-me-not.“)
Everyone is talking about how Sarah Palin barfed up a Souplantation buffet-sized word salad while throwing her HIGHLY COVETED endorsement in Jabba the Trump’s lap, but what everyone should be talking about is the fringed bolero of glamour she wore during it. It is a great week for jackets in politics. First came that Democratic debate blazer of perfection and now we have this tinsel-covered work of fashion art. Sarah’s fancy jacket looks like it got into a fight with a sparkly gay porcupine and lost. But we should expect nothing less from the pillar of sophistication who worked patriotic hooker heels, extremely hot American flag cowboy boots and a beautiful red, white and blue beaded cuff.
As Mashable points out, Sarah has worn this disco jacket before. You may be thinking that this jacket was made exclusively for some LGBT center’s drill team and Sarah picked it up at Goodwill after it was donated, but no. Mashable says that it was made by Milly and Saks Fifth Avenue used to sell it for $695. That is a very small price to pay for some Lite Brite couture that has magical powers. When Sarah wears that jacket, she instantly becomes a rap goddess. Sarah Azalea spit this out yesterday. I can’t wait until she drops her mixtape.
I don’t know about making America “great” again, but I do know that Sarah Palin is making America glamorous again!
