The Feud Between Archie Panjabi And Julianna Marguiles Lives On

October 5, 2015 / Posted by:

How professional of Archie Panjabi to pose with that fake smile on her face while she’s got a knife shoved deep into her back. And I’m in love with the lady in the background throwing a, “Well, well, well, look at these fake tricks acting all nice when just five minutes ago they were shanking each other in the parking lot” side-eye.

By now, everybody, even us hos who don’t watch The Good Wife, know that Julianna Marguiles and Archie Panjabi shot a scene separately in the show’s season six finale. (It was Archie’s last episode.) The rumor is that Julianna and Archie hate each other so much that they can’t do their jobs and they’d rather act with the air than act with each other. Julianna and Archie did the scene by themselves and they were spliced together in post-production. That scene was the first time in 40 episodes that their characters shared camera space together. The Good Wife’s creators denied that Archie and Julianna our the Alyssa Milano and Shannen Doherty of today. But Archie didn’t deny the “feud” when she was asked about it a few months ago. Cut to this past weekend at the New Yorker Festival when Julianna shat on the rumors of a feud.

Julianna screamed sexism, said she’s got no hate for Archie and said the decision to shoot the scene separately wasn’t made by her. via Vulture

“Right, I’ve heard about [the feud]. Who says that? It’s totally gossip,” Margulies said. “I heard that question had been asked to Robert King. There’s no story there, sorry … I actually had heard [that rumor] and I feel that it has been talked about and answered. I feel people just like to have gossip or make something into something that isn’t there. There’s no animosity on my part. It’s a shame, because I wonder if it was two men, when one finds out that he fucked his best friend’s wife, if it would get that same attention, you know what I mean?

It was shot the way Robert wanted to shoot it, and the story line, too,” Margulies went on to say, before arguing that Panjabi had scheduling difficulties because she was also filming The Fall. “I went along with whatever Robert asked me to do and I did it happily.”

No, this feud didn’t get a million times more interesting by Julianna accusing Archie of fucking her husband. Julianna is referring to Archie’s character fucking the husband of her character.

That was that…until Archie stamped the words “THE GOOD LIAR!!!!” on Julianna’s forehead with just one tweet:

I don’t even know how this feud started. I read that Julianna Marguiles has an ego the size of Cisco Adler’s nutsack and was jealous over Archie winning the Emmy before her. Whatever the case may be, I blame the executive producers for letting this feud go on for so long. They should’ve fired Julianna and Archie and replaced them with Joan Collins and Linda Evans. Yes, those two don’t really like each other either, but they use the hate and tension to give us electrifying scenes and glamorous catfights in fountains. That’s how the pros do it!

And I guess we won’t know what Julianna and Archie’s feud is really about until Lifetime airs their Unauthorized The Good Wife Movie.
